Ward Surgery:

Fourth Saturday of the month, 10 am - 11 am at  Whickham Library: Except August, Christmas and Bank Holidays

We believe good politics is about building communities and bringing people together. 

 

That's why we campaign with residents on issues which matter to them, such as cleaner streets, traffic safety and pre-school provision. We help our community develop events to bring business, schools and people of all ages together, such as the Christmas Lights switch on and the Remembrance Day Service.

Across Gateshead the Liberal Democrats are dedicated to working towards a Council which is greener,  genuinely listens to its communities and embraces the twenty first century by using technology to improve people’s lives.

Social distancing plans are being formulated:

Your ward councillors have held an online meeting with Council officers who informed us that they are investigating changes to the layout of Whickham centre, in line with a new Government scheme "Coronavirus (COVID-19): safer public places - urban centres and green spaces", further information on which can be found HERE

 

Any new arrangements implemented would be on a temporary basis, during the current pandemic situation.
